The 2023 Chardonnay is produced from all estate grown fruit sourced from vineyard blocks W, R, B. The wine is an absolutely stunning example of the style of wine produced in the Cote-d’Or in Burgundy. The wine is opulent while being gracious. The nose of this wine is as expressive as any estate chardonnay we have ever made with aromas of apple, pear and a bit of butterscotch. On the palate the flavor of vanilla and almond complement the pear and apple. The smooth soft texture of the wine provides us with a beautiful long and luxurious finish. The use of the combination of new and used oak accentuates the vanilla notes and creamy smoothness of the wine. Pair this wine with anything you like! Great with creamy soups – vichyssoise for the summer, fresh fish and grilled or roasted chicken. Vegetable lovers will delight when this wine is paired with grilled corn on the cob or any grilled vegetables.
