The first fruit planted at Stone Tower in 2009 was Viognier. This Estate Viognier is a great example of the classic style seen in Condrieu and Château-Grillet in the northern Rhone Valley. It has a classic character of light perfume on the nose, with hints of peach, tangerine, and honeysuckle. The wine was aged mostly in oak, has a rich creamy texture with traces of vanilla. The unique use of Acacia adds a light hint of butterscotch on the finish. Viognier aficionados will adore this wine. In pairing, we must respect its delicate floral notes and medium acidity.
