This wine takes on the character of the soil. It has a flinty, mineral-like quality. The fruit is predominantly clones 28 and 30 – chosen because of their elevated acid profile. To keep the vinous of the fruit, Preston and the team chose stainless steel. The wine exudes a youthful, playful character and the nose shows beautiful ripe citrus and tropical fruit, which carries through to the palate. This wine is a classic expression of steel-aged sauvignon blanc with lovely notes of passion fruit, ripe guava, and pink grapefruit with hints of orange blossoms.
