This wine is a striking example of the varietal and how good it can be in Virginia. The wine is extremely self-assured. On the nose we experience a brightness of cherry and blackberry, with an insinuation of violets. On the palate the fruit in the wine comes to life and we experience a suggestion of chocolate. The tannins are supple, and round and the wine lingers on the finish with a soupçon of black pepper. The wine has benefited from the craftsmanship of the winemaking team. The selection of an extended time in French oak and the perfect combination of new and used wood bring a texture and mouthfeel to the wine that is absolutely superb. You could easily drink this wine by itself and certainly by yourself. It is so lovely and balanced and gets better with every sip.

98% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot.
It was fermented in Stainless Steel and elevaged for 19 months in French oak – 40% new.
