This reserve Cabernet Franc is polished and a bit brooding – dark deep ruby color.  It is extremely confident with a nose of pomegranate, bramble, black cherry, and a touch of very pleasant smokiness. The palate is characterized by lovely raspberry, a touch of leather, and soft tannin which makes your mouth water. The finish is extremely sophisticated with a lovely hint of dry leaves – absolutely stunning!
Unlike so many Cabernet Francs there is not a hint of pyrazine.  It is dense, round, full and welcoming. This Cabernet Franc is a stunning example of a wine that is well crafted and a true reflection of the care the fruit received growing in the vineyard through meticulous winemaking.
Pair this wine with a wide variety of grilled and roasted meats – foods spiced with rosemary and thyme will bring out the character of the wine. In the winter a rich stew, shepherd’s or pot pie.  Cellar this wine if you like. It will gain grace over the next five years.  The wine should be served at 62° – 65° Drink it now and enjoy or hold through 2030.
The wine is 90% Cabernet Franc and 10% Petit Verdot, the wine was fermented in stainless steel and elevaged for 16 months in 40% new French Oak.  It is 13.7% ABV. The fruit was harvested on September 28, 2022.
