Our 2021 Wente Chardonnay is our second vintage bottling using this chardonnay clone. Like the first wine it was elevaged in all-new French oak, contributing to the aromas of vanilla, clove, smoke, and coconut. It exhibits enduring characteristics of chardonnay produced with the Wente clone. On the nose and palate, you get a touch of fresh pear, a little pineapple, and stone fruit, all amplified and complimented by the characteristics of the new French oak. As the wine finishes, we see the beautiful almond and vanilla from the new oak with a hint of white flower.  The wine is creamy and round, encapsulating all of the lovely flavors.  This wine will pair well with mild, buttery, creamy dishes, meaty fish, shellfish, poultry, pork, and foods that have toasty flavors –toasted nuts, pastry crust, – grilled, and smoked foods.
