Like many of our Estate Chardonnays, this wine is similar in style to those storied chardonnays from the areas in the Cote Chalonnaise in Burgundy. The wine has a nose of mayflower, acacia, and honeysuckle. On the palate it has a touch of verbena and hazelnut and the finish is soft and lingering. This wine is from our oldest vineyard block, planted in 2009 and brings back memories of our Lacey and Lauren Chardonnays after we first opened. This Chardonnay pairs beautifully with “like” foods – rich and creamy. Cheeses such as four fat foul, brie, camembert, and rich seafood cooked in butter like soul meuniere. It is also versatile and would pair well with foods like fried/grilled chicken wings, braised vegetables, asparagus, and blood orange. Drink now through 2027!
