The Hogback Mountain is our flagship bottling, representing the apex of quality, sophistication, and age-worthiness of our best estate grown wines. This wine is inspired by the legendary ‘Left Bank’ Bordeaux blends from communes like Saint-Julien, Paulliac, Margaux, etc., and as such, it has always been a Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant blend. The name pays homage to the ancient and unique geology that comprises our estate vineyard site. With nearly two years of aging in French cooperage (and several more in bottle), this wine is drinking beautifully now and should easily age through 2035.
